Ralph Illenberger, Aston Martin’s Head of Powertrain Engineering, helped create a new engine with ball-bearing turbochargers and bespoke engine calibration. This allows the DBX707 to harness even more power and torque than any Aston Martin before. This includes the new nine-speed “wet clutch” automatic transmission that can handle more torque. The regular Aston Martin DBX V8 makes 542 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
What Advanced Driver Assistance Systems does the Aston Martin DBX707 have?
The DBX707 SUV has a top speed of 193 mph and a zero to 62 mph time of 3.3 seconds. Aston Martin says it has the soul of a sports car but a more commanding presence. It has a panoramic glass sunroof, “Swan Wing” infinite stop frameless doors, and a winged multi-piece diffuser. Plus, it has an electronically controlled active all-wheel drive system.
The automaker also included plenty of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Adaptive cruise control (ACC), auto emergency braking (AEB), and blind-spot warning (BSW) with lane change warning (LCW) are standard. It also has forward collision warning (FCW), lane departure warning (LDW), and lane keep assist (LKA). Everything a driver might need to stay safe on the roads.
