The electric pickup truck race is well underway. Rivian took the crown for the first, but the new EV company has a long way to go before they can truly claim the overall electric pickup truck throne. As with most things in America, money talks. Meaning the best electric truck may not be nearly as valuable as the cheapest electric truck. So, which is the cheapest electric pickup truck on the market? Have you met the Alpha Wolf?

Who makes the cheapest electric pickup truck?

Make/ModelPrice
Alpha Wolf $36,000-$46,000
Tesla Cybertruck$39,900-$69,900
Chevy Silverado EV $39,990-$105,000
Ford F-150 Lightning $39,974 -$95,000
Rivian R1T$67,500-$75,500

In America, at least, that honor goes to the Alpha Wolf. Not only is this EV startup making the cheapest electric pickup truck, but it is, without question, one of the coolest-looking pickup trucks, period – electric or otherwise.

The Alpha Wolf is small, tough, and badass. Despite its very futuristic market segment, the cheapest electric pickup truck screams ‘80s Toyota pickup truck in every hard angle and Tonka truck styling cue. This thing looks downright amazing.

How much will the Alpha Wolf cost?

The Wolf will start somewhere around the $36,000 mark. Given the fact that the Rivian R1T and Ford F-150 Lightning will average closer to $70,000, the Alpha Wolf is by far and away the cheapest electric pickup truck we will see for a while. And depending on which state you live/ buy an EV in, the government incentives could lower the price too as little as $30,000.

How many miles of range does the Alpha Wolf truck have?

The range is everything when it comes to electric vehicles. The power is a given, the creative designs are expected, but range is one spec that we really care about at this point. Although the Alpha is a tiny little pickup truck, the EV’s range is nothing short of impressive.

According to CarBuzz, Alpha Motor Corporation intends to supply the truck with a 75 to 85 kWh lithium-ion battery giving an estimated 275 miles of range. This would make the badass little truck only 15 miles behind the Ford F-150 Lightning on range. This is significant.

Alpha Wolf electric pickup truck specs

The Wolf is small. How small? Well, it sits a188-inches long, 76-inches wide, and 66-inches high. The Wolf is considerably smaller than the competition and has a bed measuring 65 inches long, 59 inches width, and 16 inches deep to provide 34.5 cubic feet of storage.

Its size might hurt on the storage compartment, but it can still run a 6.2-second 0-60 mph run and can tow 3,000 lbs.

More important than any of that is the Alpha Wolf’s design and style. For now, the Wolf will only come in a single cab, with a boxy front end and old-school round headlights. The bull bar up front comes standard sending the message that this little electric pickup truck came for business. Hell, it even comes with roof-mounted lights. Unfortunately, the single cab-ness of the Wolf means that only two people can ride up front.

When is the Alpha Wolf coming out?

CarBuzz reports that Customer deliveries for the Alpha Wolf are planned for 2023. With any luck, we will see a Wolf prototype sooner rather than later. While this segment is enjoying plenty of hype, it would be nice to see some smaller companies get a piece of the hype pie.
