Honda announced this week that the 2021 Honda Ridgeline will arrive at dealerships early next year. Redesigned for the new model year, Honda claims the all-new Ridgeline “reflects its rugged and versatile pickup truck capabilities.” That’s not all the redesigned Ridgeline has going for it though.

As powerful as it is capable

Standard under the hood is a 280-hp 3.5-liter direct-injected VTEC V6 engine that comes teamed to a 9-speed automatic transmission. This year’s Ridgeline is also available with all-wheel drive, though it does come standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition. According to Honda, drivers can expect the 2021 Honda Ridgeline to provide them with a “class-leading ride.”

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline has more to offer than a powerful engine under its hood. Featuring a Dual-Action Tailgate, accessing its cargo and the In-Bed Trunk is easier than ever before. The tailgate can also support up to 300-lbs. Add in eight standard tie-down cleats rated at 350-lbs each, and this truck can haul both motorcycles and ATVs.

A bold new exterior look and Ridgeline-exclusive design

The Honda Ridgeline has arrived to the 2021 model year with a bold new look and an exclusive design. Honda says this year’s model features all-new sheet metal from the front roof pillars forward. Additional design changes include a new hood donning a pronounced power bulge, and new front fenders that come flanked by LED headlights for even better illumination.

To complete its tough new look, its body color has been extended farther down the front bumper too. Consider the new HPD Package for an even bolder Ridgeline, which includes a unique grille treatment, black fender flares, and bronze-colored wheels. Special HPD graphics can be found on the truck’s bed walls too.

Adding to the new Honda Ridgeline is its unit-body construction and a fully independent rear suspension. According to Honda, this unique construction provides the Ridgeline with a best-in-AWD class standard 1,580-pound payload capacity and up to 5,000-pound towing capacity.

Putting safety at its forefront

Trucks aren’t often synonymous with safety features. The 2021 Honda Ridgeline, however, aims to put safety at its forefront.

The 2021 Honda Ridgeline comes standard with the full Honda Sensing Suite. With features like a Collision Mitigation Braking System with Forward Collision Warning, a Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control, you can count on the all-new Ridgeline to inspire confidence at every turn.

If a long list of safety features isn’t enough to convince you, Honda says the new Ridgeline has set its sights on top-class collision safety ratings from both the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Having been named a Top Safety Pick by the IIHS for the 2020 model year, and having received a five-star rating from the NHTSA, the 2021 Honda Ridgeline should have no problem landing such high safety ratings.
