The fastest Dodge SUV is the 2021  Durango  SRT Hellcat. As Dodge has said, the Hellcat Durango represents the company’s pursuit of horsepower and pillars of strength. The Hellcat Durango is ideal for those who crave power beyond reason and a practical interior.

The Hellcat Durango features a monstrous supercharged 6.2-liter V8 and a standard all-wheel-drive system. This V8 produces 710-hp and 645 lb-feet of torque. Dodge says that this SUV can go from 0-to-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

Those who want an even more outlandish experience will be enthralled by the Hennessy upgrade kit that produces 1,000-hp. Road testers at Car and Driver acknowledge that the Hellcat Durango is pretty excessive for the average midsize SUV shopper. But even so, there are plenty of buyers who’ll appreciate Dodge’s outrageousness.

“The 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat is a rollercoaster ride the entire family can enjoy—or fear. As its name suggests, there’s an almighty, unholy supercharged V-8 engine hidden within its intimidating bodywork, and its standard all-wheel-drive system is only too eager to assist its breathtaking acceleration. The howl of its supercharger and the rumble of its exhaust can go from background music to auditory assault at the press of a pedal. And when Dodge’s supreme SUV isn’t making its passengers squirm and regret their lunches, it can tow up to 8700 pounds and haul plenty of groceries.”

Power and speed are the obvious selling points of the Hellcat Durango, but the SUV’s interior has garnered buzz too. The Hellcat Durango has performance seats inspired by the Challenger SRT 392. It also comes with a heated and cooled front row; Nappa leather upholstery with suede inserts in the front seats are also standard. To fancify the model even further, you can add Laguna leather available in “Demonic Red” or black.

Dodge says that the 2021 Durango will feel wider than the 2020 version. The available seating hasn’t changed, though. Hellcat Durangos come with a “fold-and-tumble” captain’s chairs configuration that accommodates six. What’s also pretty cool is that the Hellcat Durango has a fold-flat third-row that’s ideal for maximizing cargo space.

The Hellcat Durango also offers much of the modern in-car tech you would expect. It will come with Dodge’s latest Uconnect 5 infotainment system that’s supposed to be five times quicker than the previous version. The Durango’s infotainment system includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and a wifi hotspot. Other available goodies include a rear-seat entertainment system.

When can you expect the incoming Hellcat Durango?
