When Did The Kia Telluride Begin Production?
The Kia Telluride hit the spotlight this year as one of the most popular SUV options. It did a lot to boost Kia’s reputation, but it also set the stage for what a high-end family SUV of the modern age to strive to be. For as popular as the SUV is, we don’t seem to see that many on the road yet, and there are some pretty obvious reasons for that. After all, didn’t the Kia Telluride just begin production?

Buying the last car in a generation usually ensures you are getting the most reliable model with all of the kinks worked out. That isn’t the case for the Kia Telluride, which hit the production lines in 2019 and has been providing reliability ever since. Sales for the Telluride are relatively high, and with it, Kia is making a stand: they deserve to get your attention.
It isn’t very often that a brand new car hits the market for a manufacturer. Often the focus is turned to renovating and revamping the company’s staple vehicles rather than creating something new, so we are used to seeing several years and generations worth of the same cars. The Kia Telluride is so new that only two production years of the car has actually hit the streets.
The beginning
The 2021 model years for many vehicles have begun production and there is no doubt that the new Kia Telluride will live up to our expectations. Next year the car will be going into its third official production year with hopefully many more to come. Some reports suggest that the new 2021 model year will be the coolest one yet.
As years go by the Telluride will likely be redesigned, and we will see them on the road more often. That’s because there will be more of them in general. Currently, only two production years of the car are on the road, and regardless of their popularity that is nothing compared to how many Honda Civics we see, mostly because there are decades worth of the car still driving around. For how well-designed and reliable the SUV is it is easy to forget that it is still a newer production vehicle.
For a car that has only been in production since 2019 we are far from disappointed. The Kia Telluride was a well-designed SUV right from the start and completes the brand’s lineup in the best way possible. Combined with the Kia Stinger we know that we can expect more from the manufacturer in future years.
