Trim level options for the Chevrolet Colorado
The 2020 Chevrolet Colorado has five available trim options. The base model is the lowest trim level with an MSRP of $21,300. The only configuration available for it is the Extended Cab with a long bed and no rear seating. The WT trim offers the same standard features as the Base model and is available in the Extended Cab/long bed configuration with a starting MSRP of $24,800. The Z71 trim level offers heavy-duty suspension to meet the demands of off-road driving. A locking rear differential, hill descent control, and recovery hooks are included options. Standard features include climate control, remote start, and rear parking sensors. Starting prices range from $33,900 to $35,600.
The ZR2 trim includes high-end features that won’t be found in any of the lower trim levels. Included are full-locking front and rear differentials and an off-road appearance package. Leather seats, trailer assist monitoring, and an integrated brake controller are also included. The starting price for the Extended Cab is $41,400. The MSRP for the Crew Cab is $43,000 and is only available in the short bed length.
Powertrain options
It’s important to determine what type of towing power you want for your truck.
There are three engine options in the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado. The drivetrain is standard rear-wheel drive, with an available option of four-wheel drive. The base and turbodiesel engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The V6 comes with an eight-speed automatic.
Standard in the Base, WT, and LT trims is the 2.5-liter four-cylinder base engine with 200 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque. A 3.6-liter V6 with 308 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque is standard in the Z71 and ZR2 trims, and it’s also available as an option in the WT and LT trims.
The LT, Z71, and ZR2 configurations can be fitted with a 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel that outputs 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.
Appearance and performance packages
There are seven appearance packages available in the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck. Optional upgrades include a spray-on bedliner, roll-up soft tonneau cover, and all-weather floor mats. According to U.S. News, the LT model offers the best value in the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado lineup. The infotainment features that are standard in the LT are unavailable in the lower trim levels.
