Which 2020 Genesis Model Should You Buy?
The Hyundai Genesis models are some of the most overlooked sedans when it comes to luxury sports cars, but they are favorited amongst owners and have a following all to themself. The Genesis line has a badge of its own, separating it from the rest of the Hyundai lineup, but that isn’t the only thing that sets them apart. This year, there are three Genesis models in production, and they are all great in their own way. In a range of prices and options, there is a Genesis model to fit any lifestyle, and you get all of the benefits of high-end luxury without the high cost of maintenance you see in some other popular luxury car brands.
Genesis G70
The 2020 Genesis G70 is the most entry-level Genesis sedan, with a starting price of $35,450 and a range on the higher end of tip-toeing the price for a G80. As the lower-end model, you would expect it to lack the luxury and amenities of the more expensive, higher-end models, but it has so much to offer that it’s actually a surprisingly good bargain.
The aggressive front end and sloping roofline give the Genesis a sporty appearance, and the turbocharged 4-cylinder engine under the hood provides enough ‘get-up and go” to give drivers an enthusiastic experience. It offers a reported 252hp and agile steering that provides for a better driving experience than you would expect from a full-sized sedan.
Genesis G80
The 2020 Genesis G80 is next up in the lineup and has a starting price of around $42,550, which isn’t a bad price for a mid-level luxury sedan.
The G80 has a variety of engine options ranging from a 3.3L V6 in the most affordable model and as powerful as a 5.0L V8, making it one of the only sedans this year to be offered with a V8 engine. It has the same high-performance feeling of the G70 with just a little bit more power, with some upgrades to the interior that make it feel like a much more expensive sedan.
Genesis G90
The 2020 Genesis G90 is the highest model and therefore the most expensive, with a starting price of around $72,200 bringing it into the realm of high-end BMW and Audi luxury sedans.
The interior of the G90 is wrapped in thick, high-quality leather tastefully stitched. The ride quality is superior to other cars on the market, giving it a smooth and comfortable ride that is well-insulated from road noise.
Whatever model of Hyundai Genesis you pick, you can rest assured that you are getting a bargain for the amount of luxury they have to offer. There is a reason so many Genesis customers keep buying Genesis year after year, and it’s clear that these cars are as underrated as they come.
