The 2020 Porsche Macan is a high-end luxury SUV that rivals the manufacturer’s larger SUV, the Cayenne. The prices of the Macan vary greatly from its base model price to it’s higher trim level prices, but which one is actually the best buy for the price?
Base model Macan
The base model of the Macan starts at an average price of $50,900 brand new from the dealer. It’s got an all-wheel-drive configuration and an average of 21mpg making it the most fuel-efficient of any trim level available. The biggest difference between each trim level is the engine and the amount of power each SUV produces. The base model has a 2.0L inline 4-cylinder engine that makes a mild 248hp.
S trim level
The S trim level of the Macan is the first step above the base model and has a starting price of $59,400 making it almost $10,000 more expensive. The S trim level of the Macan features a 3.0L V6 which gives it 348hp, a whopping 100hp more than the cheaper base model option. For a brand new Porsche SUV, the S trim level Macan is a great option for under $60,000.
GTS trim level
The second to the highest trim level offered for the Macan is the GTS trim, which can be purchased for about $71,300 another almost $10,000 jump between trim packages when compared to the S trim. The Macan GTS has a 2.9L V6 engine that produces 375hp, only a small jump in power from the S trim level.
Turbo trim level
The turbo version is the highest trim level package available on the 2020 model year. Being the highest trim level package, it also has the most options and costs upwards of $83,600 bringing it into the price range of the mid-trim level Porsche Cayenne SUVs. It outputs the most amount of power among the Macan of this year, with a 2.9L V6 engine that makes about 434hp.
All four trim levels have some things in common that are worth pointing out.
