Which 2023 Toyota Camry Models Have All-Wheel Drive?
Not everyone wants to drive an SUV. Instead, many people find more comfort, convenience, and economy owning and operating a midsize sedan such as a 2023 Toyota Camry. The good news is that the Camry is one of the few midsize sedans on the market to offer all-wheel drive (AWD) on at least some of its models.
Is the Toyota Camry a good car?
Toyota introduced the Camry to United States markets in 1983. The car brand presented the Camry as an economical small car. These days, its popularity continues to grow, as does its reputation for reliability and value.
Edmunds routinely ranks the Camry near the top of its list of midsize sedans based on its “strong fuel economy, comfortable interior, and good value.” However, the Camry’s “lackluster four-cylinder engine and excessive wind and engine noise” are issues that potential buyers should consider, especially when opting for the AWD drivetrain.

As for which 2023 Toyota Camry models come with all-wheel drive? First up is the least expensive AWD model, the 2023 Toyota Camry LE AWD, with a starting price of $27,345. The Camry LE AWD comes with a 2.5-liter engine that makes 202 horsepower and 182 lb-ft of torque. It also comes stocked with standard features, including keyless entry with power locks, a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, a USB-C charge port, a 7-inch information display, and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+.
Priced at $28,885, the 2023 Camry SE AWD features the same powertrain as the LE model but adds features such as sport-tuned shock absorbers and springs, a black front grille with sport mesh lower grille insert, color-keyed sport side rocker panels and rear spoiler, heated side mirrors, dual chrome exhaust tips and a leather-trimmed steering wheel with paddle shifters.
The 2023 Camry SE Nightshade AWD starts at $29,885 and features black accents and trim on the exterior and unique 19-inch TRD matte bronze-finished alloy wheels.
These Camry models can be had with all-wheel drive too
Stepping up to the 2023 Camry XLE AWD raises the base price to $32,095. For that increase, you’ll get the same basic features as the previous models plus a dark gray front grille with chrome accents, color-keyed heated side mirrors with blind spot warning indicators, touch-sensing lock/unlock outside door handle, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear seat vents, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. This AWD Camry also features a 9-inch touchscreen display that’s compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa.
At the top position in the AWD Camry lineup, the 2023 Camry XSE AWD starts at $32,645. In addition to the upgrades present in the XLE model, you’ll get features such as a gloss-black front grille with sport mesh lower grille insert, color-keyed sport side rocker panels and rear spoiler, 19-inch gloss-black alloy wheels, dual exhaust with quad chrome tips, and sport-tuned shock absorbers and springs.
Is buying an all-wheel drive 2023 Toyota Camry worth it?
As much press as the Toyota Camry gets for being near the top of the midsize sedan class, there is little doubt that buying one is a good choice if it fits your needs. Since adding AWD only adds $1,400 to any model that allows the option, anyone that wants an AWD midsize sedan should put the 2023 Toyota Camry AWD on their short list of cars to consider.
