The Ford Edge is a compelling midsize two-row SUV that’s just right for many drivers. If a compact SUV is too small and a three-row SUV is too big, the Edge is the just-right Goldilocks SUV for you. There are five unique 2024 Ford Edge trims available to suit your tastes and your budget. Let’s walk through the trims of the Ford Edge and see which one is the best value.

Nice, nicer, and nicest

SE is the base trim, SEL is the mid-range trim, and Titanium is the fancy trim. They’re all powered by the same turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower. Also, all-wheel drive comes standard on all 2024 Ford Edge trims.

The Edge SE starts at $38,365. Standard features include 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, the SYNC 4A infotainment system with a 12-inch touchscreen, USB-A and USB-C ports, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety tech suite.

Upgrading to the Edge SEL costs $39,565. It adds LED signature lighting, tasteful chrome exterior trim, heated mirrors, ActiveX faux leather seating, heated front seats, EasyFold back seats, a leather steering wheel, an auto-dimming mirror, and rear parking sensors.

The Edge Titanium is a premium SUV at a more affordable price than a similar SUV from a luxury brand. Starting at $43,720, it has 19-inch wheels, a unique chrome grille insert, ActiveX seats with FreeForm, a memory driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, Satin and Paragon interior trim, a B&O 12-speaker audio system, front parking sensors, and rain-sensing wipers. You can make it even fancier with options like the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, a front parking camera, ventilated front seats, and 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. However, those options make the price climb quickly.

The Ford Edge ST-Line starts at $43,620. It brings a sporty appearance package, similar to the one on the high-performance Edge ST, to a more affordable price point. The biggest difference between the ST-Line and the ST is the engine. The ST-Line uses the same turbo four-cylinder engine as the SE, SEL, and Titanium models. But it adds the aforementioned appearance package, a power liftgate, remote start, a wireless charging pad, and more.

Finally, there’s the Edge ST. Starting at $47,205, the Ford Edge ST blends hot hatch performance with SUV utility. Its turbo V6 engine makes 335 horsepower, and you also get a Ford Performance sport-tuned suspension system. Other standard features include:

  • Bolstered leather seats with Miko inserts
  • Perforated leather steering wheel
  • Unique interior trim
  • Ford Performance sill plate

Additionally, there are available Performance Brake and Interior Appearance Packages unique to the ST.

Which 2024 Ford Edge trim is best?

For most drivers, the mid-range SEL trim is the best buy. Among all of the 2024 Ford Edge trims, it has the best mix of features and value. At under $40k, you get a midsize SUV with a lively turbo engine, all-wheel drive, modern safety and infotainment tech features, ActiveX seating, and heated seats. That said, we wouldn’t blame you for springing for the more exciting Edge ST. The 335-hp Edge ST isn’t quite like any other SUV.
