When we typically think of Porsche, we think of spectacular power and astounding agility. We think of the allure of the carmaker’s coupes like the Porsche 911 and the prestige of their Cayenne SUV lineup. The last thing you would probably associate Porsche with is a traditional looking, family sedan﹣and that’s where the Panamera comes in.

Classic Sedan Body Style with Porsche Sportiness

When the Porsche Panamera was first introduced in 2010, purists thought of it as a sacrilege. Why would the sports carmaker create a traditional sedan?  Well, Porsche originally created this luxury sedan to help reshape its image and further demonstrate its versatility. 

The Panamera boasts Porsche athleticism and dynamics but packaged in a classic sedan body style. Over the last 10 years, the model has even gained respect from Porsche fans and there have been over 200,000 deliveries worldwide. This sedan is ideal for those who crave sports performance and complexity but in a family inclined transport. 

Assorted Styling Features

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the sedan, Porsche produced the Panamera 10 Year Edition. This version is also loaded with Porsche’s robust air suspension, power steering plus, and dynamic light system plus. The special edition comes with extra equipment, including signature sports design wheels topped with white gold, “Panamera 10” logos throughout, plus white gold trim in the interior. For added luxury inside the cabin, you can add sports seats or other enhancements such as a seat massaging.

In general, the Panamera’s interior design is extremely sophisticated which is what we expect from Porsche. It features the Porsche advanced cockpit with a “glass-like” display that has touch controls in the center console. There’s a high-res, 12-inch touchscreen built into the dashboard, and passengers in the back even have their own touchscreen. The infotainment system is not the most user-friendly but it has most of the connectivity aspects that we have come to expect. 

Unfortunately, driver assistance does not come standard on the Panamera. Porche calls its driver assistance InnoDrive, which includes adaptive cruise control, surround-view cameras, and traffic jam assist. 

Plenty of Performance Options 

The Panamera lineup offers a ton of variety, and that’s what makes it such a unique ride. It’s smooth and adaptable, thrilling as well as practical. In fact, there is so much variety it is almost overwhelming   Each variant is powerful and turbocharged. The standard model has a 330-horsepower and top track speed of 164 mph. 

If all-wheel drive is what you’re looking for, then you’ll want the Panamera 4. For more power, go for the GTS version with a 453-horsepower; the official Turbo model has a 457-horsepower. There’s also a power-packed plug-in hybrid version but if you want to go completely electric then opt for the award-winning Taycan.  Overall, fuel-efficiency is not the vehicle’s strong suit. 

Base Pricing

The Panamera 10 Years Editon starts at $103,300 Special edition features are also available on the Panamera 4 and starts at $107,500. The standard model has a base price of $87,200; the full-blown Turbo S E Hybrid Executive version starts at $198,100.
