Luxury cars are a status symbol with a high price tag. They offer plush interiors, state-of-the-art technology and, in theory, a smoother more comfortable ride with heightened drive performance. Jaguar counts itself among the luxury brands, but who knew about the Jaguar Factory Warranty?

Along with their improved user experience, luxury brands also have a reputation for costly repair bills in the event of any issues. Luxury cars’ parts and service may be more expensive. And they aren’t exactly known for their competitive warranties, either. But Jaguar is a little different.

While Jaguar repairs can cost more on average, the factory warranty they offer with the purchase of a new vehicles makes such costs a little easier to swallow. The Jaguar’s basic factory warranty is a little ahead of quite a few of the other luxury brands like Lexus and BMW.

If you were going to choose between a luxury brand based on warranty coverage alone, Jaguar is the obvious choice. The Jaguar factory warranty is actually one of the best overall, and covers Jaguar models like the Jaguar XE, Jaguar F-Type, and I-PACE.

What sets it apart?

Most brands offer a comprehensive warranty for just a few years, with a powertrain warranty that is a little longer. Jaguar’s factory warranty has basic bumper to bumper coverage that lasts 5 years, 60,000 miles. The powertrain warranty provides the same measurement of coverage as well.

Compare that with BMW who offers the same amount of coverage for each warranty particular, but for a year and 10,000 miles less. A good warranty isn’t necessarily something we’d have guessed for the Jaguar brand.

What else does it cover?

The Jaguar factory warranty covers corrosion for 6 years with unlimited mileage. This is fantastic for the high mileage driver.

Jaguar also provides complimentary scheduled maintenance for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Of course it has to be within one month or 1,000 miles of the scheduled maintenance interval, but complimentary maintenance is a game changer. Especially for that long.

Additionally, Jaguar owners get roadside assistance for 5 years, 60,000 miles. Others, like Lincoln, offer unlimited mileage with their roadside assistance. But it’s still better than Lexus, Porsche, and Land Rover whose roadside assistance is covered for 4 years, 50,000 miles.

Is the Jaguar I PACE covered?

The Jaguar I PACE has warranty coverage comparable with Tesla. The I-PACE electric vehicle battery coverage goes for 8 years or 100,000 miles. While Tesla’s coverage is 8 years with unlimited mileage, 100,000 miles is still great for a battery warranty.

The Jaguar I-PACE

Is it transferable?

One thing that is great for the Jaguar factory warranty is the ability to transfer the coverage. The Jaguar warranty can be trasnfered from one owner to another in the event that the automobile changes hands while the factory warranty remains active.

Who knew?

With a transferable factory warranty that’s competitive in the electric vehicle market and one of the best among the luxury car brands, the Jaguar factory warranty might be better than we thought. Every warranty has limitations, don’t skip reading the manual and be sure to ask your dealer plenty of questions.

Jaguar boasts the longest lasting bumper to bumper warranty compared to every other luxury brand out there. In fact, it rivals some of the best like Kia and Hyundai.
