The 2021 Toyota RAV4 has tons of options

One of the reasons that the 2021 RAV4 is the best-selling SUV in part because of the number of options that come with it. You can get a hybrid RAV4 – in fact, there are five hybrid models to choose from. In addition, there are six fuel-powered options.

The 2021 Toyota RAV4’s smaller size makes it appealing for those who want an SUV, but don’t want something massive. The rear cargo area offers 37.6 cubic feet of storage space.

In addition, the 2021 RAV4 is affordable. It starts at just $26,350 for a fuel-powered model. The hybrid option starts at $28,500. With the average price for a new car starting at about $40,000, this makes the RAV4 look like a good deal.

The 2021 RAV4 is a Consumer Reports recommended SUV

Consumer Reports has given the 2021 Toyota RAV4 the honor of being a Consumer Reports-recommend SUV. Nestled in the subcompact SUV segment, the 2021 RAV4 has a pretty good road test score. Consumer Reports gives it a 72 out of 100, including a 4/5 for its acceleration, transmission, and routine and emergency handling.

Although the RAV4 only gets a 3/5 for ride and a 2/5 for noise, its front and rear seat comfort both get a 4/5. In addition, the front and rear access, as well as the usability all get a 4/5.

The RAV4’s safety ratings are pretty good, but not perfect

Although the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives the 2021 Toyota RAV4 good ratings for its overall categories, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s ratings are slightly worse. The NHTSA gives the 2021 RAV4 only 4/5 for overall frontal-crash and overall frontal-crash on the driver side. The rollover ratings for both the 2WD and 4WD are 4/5 stars, which isn’t unusual for an SUV.

However, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 has a good amount of standard safety equipment. It comes with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking for the city and the highway, and pedestrian detection. In addition, the 2021 RAV4 has lane departure warning and lane keeping assist, rear view camera, anti lock brakes, and traction and stability control.

As you can see, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 has a lot going for it. With its smaller size and versatility, and the availability of so many models and hybrid options, the 2021 RAV4 offers something for just about everyone. In addition, it has a good road test score, which makes it likely that you’ll enjoy driving the newest RAV4. If you’re shopping for a new SUV, you’re going to likely be considering the 2021 Toyota RAV4.
