The 2021 Ram 1500 is the Truck of Texas 

Texas is one of the areas around the country where trucks are taken pretty darn tootin’ seriously. Farmers, ranchers, oil and gas field workers, and more need their trucks for work and play.

In Texas, from the cities to the fields, you will see tons of different trucks, but the 2021 Ram 1500 is one of the most popular options as it won Texas Truck of the Year for the 3rd year in a row. 

According to TorqueNews, this isn’t the only thing to yee-haw about. Because the Texas Truck Rodeo Awards also provided the Ram 1500 with a huge load of awards.

The 2021 Ram 1500 also won full-size pickup truck of Texas, the luxury pickup truck of Texas, and the off-road pickup truck of Texas. Plus, the Ram 2500 won the heavy-duty pickup truck of Texas. 

What is so great about the Ram 1500? 

The 2021 Ram 1500 didn’t leave any room for other full-size trucks to compete. Kristen Shaw, TAWA President, shared that the Ram, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles from Fiat Chrysler Auto (FCA) impressed the Texas Truck Rodeo with an exceptional product lineup. 

The 2021 Ram 1500 TRX thrilled their team members with 702-hp. It has an incredible performance on the road and while off-roading. She also noted that the 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat was a lot of fun with 710 hp. 

For families, FCA vehicles like the 2020 Ram 1500 is an excellent option with enough space for families. It also has enough power to crawl over obstacles with ease and can tow up to 12,750 lb. But most importantly, it’s also fast and fun to drive.  

2021 Ram 1500 features 

The Ram 1500 has an MSRP of $32,245, so it might cost a little more after dealerships add their markups. It comes with a standard 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. You can also upgrade to the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine for 395 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque.

You can get this truck in rear-wheel drive or with 4×4. It’s praised for having a smooth, quiet ride and a spacious cabin. Even the base model trim comes with a modern and comfortable interior with plenty of tech features. 

The large infotainment screen is easy to use. Plus, features like the trailer reversing steering console and head-up display help make daily work more convenient. Use the 360 camera display to avoid obstacles. 

Available features include forward-collision warning, blind-spot warning with rear-cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, and automatic high-beams.

The 2021 Ram 1500 is praised for being a well-rounded option. It won’t break the bank to get a comfortable daily driver that’s capable of performing off-roading and heavy hauling tasks. Plus, it’s roomy enough for the whole family.
