The 2020 Range Rover Velar has an impressive design

The Land Rover Range Rover Velar has always provided an exceptional combination of comfort and style. However, this year, the already impressive SUV kicked things up a notch with the new SVAutobiography Dynamic trim. 

The eye-catching exterior on the SVAutobiography trim is outlined in well-defined lines that travel straight down to the stylish 22-inch wheels that are covered in a glossy, dark-gray coat. To help give it a sportier look, this trim level also comes with a sleek rear spoiler and a newly redesigned front bumper as well as large, aggressive-looking front vents.

The interior comes equipped with everything that you would expect to find in a luxury vehicle.  The Touch Pro Duo infotainment system features two 10-inch infotainment displays that allow you to interact with several features at the same time.

Not only does the infotainment system come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but it also comes with a 17-speaker Meridian premium audio system. And, if you want to make sure that your back seat passengers stay entertained on long road trips, the Range Rover Velar also offers a rear entertainment system that features two 8-inch high-resolution screens that are mounted to the back of the front passenger and driver’s headrest.

How powerful is the engine?

The Land Rover Range Rover Velar SVAutobiography Dynamic has the same engine and mechanics as the already popular Jaguar F-Pace SVR. The Range Rover Velar features a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that is paired with a smooth-shifting 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers an impressive amount of power to the all-wheel-drive system. With the new V8 engine, the Range Rover Velar is able to produce up to 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque.

The Range Rover Velar also comes with a Torque Vectoring with Braking system as well as an Intelligent Driveline Dynamic system that works together to evenly distribute the engine’s torque to all four wheels, giving the driver better control of the vehicle. This impressive SUV also comes with other stability control systems, including Dynamic Stability Control and Roll Stability Control.

Is the Range Rover Velar worthy of a GT title?

The Range Rover Velar is equipped with a luxurious interior and an impressively fast engine under the hood. Land Rover claims this SUV is capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds. While that is fast, MotorTrend recently noted that there are several other SUVs on the market today that are able to clear 60 mph in a shorter time.

When we think of a GT vehicle, we usually think of a super-fast, high-performance vehicle. However, the term “GT” stands for “Grand Touring,” which really means that the vehicle is able to travel a far distance (or a grand tour) while providing the driver and all passengers with a comfortable and stylish ride.
