Why You Shouldn’t Pass On The Nissan Rogue
Are you ready to give off the main trail? Are you ready to go, Rogue? Well, there’s a Nissan for that. The Nissan Rogue might be the SUV to take you on some wild adventures. Let’s see if it has the power and capabilities to outperform other options such as the RAV4, Honda CR-V, or Jeep Renegade.
A Look At The Nissan Rogue
The Nissan Rogue starts around $25, making it extremely priced competitively against the Honda CR-V and RAV4, which also start around $25k.

This SUV also has a similar fuel economy that stacks up against other models by getting an average of 26 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
However, the Nissan Rogue is a bit weaker than the Honda CR-V. It only has a 2.5-L four-cylinder engine with an output of 170 hp and 175 lb-ft torque, whereas the base model of the Honda CR-V puts out 190 hp.
The Nissan Rogue can also only tow about 1,100lb while the CR-V can haul 1,500 lb, and the RAV4 TRD can tow up to 3,000 lb.
We feel like this SUV is more for city dwellers, but the Rogue’s 8.4” ground clearance helps its case for going off the main roads. It’s also available in FWD and AWD.
If you want this Nissan to drive around the city, it’s 16” alloy wheels should be excellent. But for off-roading purposes, you can go upgrade to the 19” alloy wheels.
It’s always important to note that the Nissan Rogue has an approach angle of 17.4-degrees and a departure angle of 25.0-degrees. So, approach rocks to climb over and steep inclines with caution.
At least the Nissan Rogue has Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) to monitor acceleration and breaking. In slick road conditions, your Rogue will send power and braking pressure to wheels in need.
The Traction Control System also senses wheel spinning to reduce throttle and apply brake pressure to specific wheels.
Nissan Rogue Luxury Features
The Nissan Rogue offers progressive, emotive styling. The Nissan signature “V-Motion” grille and headlights with LED signature Daytime Running Lights help enhance Rogue’s robust, dynamic presence.
The Nissan Rogue isn’t the best option for going down the beaten track. It’s more of a pavement warrior with features for comfort and safety.
The Nissan Rogue can comfortably seat five people, which may be enough for the whole family unless you need a third row of seats.
The second row of seats has a 20/40/20 split to fold down and increase cargo space. When the seats are up, you have about 39 cubic feet of cargo space. That’s an impressive amount of trunk room!
You can also fold the seats down to access 70 cubic feet of cargo space, so you can haul a lot of large items without any issues.
One cool feature about the Rogue includes its display behind the steering wheel that provides step by step navigation. This way, you don’t have to look over at the center console to better maintain concentration on the road.
Along with standard safety features such as forward collision warning and brake assist, the Nissan Rogue has 360 Safety Protection Sheild. It detects danger with blind-spot monitoring, pedestrians, lane departure, and more.

When it comes to going Rogue with this Nissan, your off-roading adventuring may be a little limited. However, this compact SUV is excellent for taking the family around the city with advanced safety and modern tech.
