Today we’re going into a bit of Jeep lore. For example, we came across the Jeep Gladiator Hercules. While there is a Jeep Gladiator Hercules model with six wheels, we’re wondering if a more traditional Hercules trim is on the way. 

What is the Jeep Gladiator Hercules? 

We know that the Jeep Gladiator is a powerful fighter and durable off-roading truck. But what does Hercules add to the equation? Hercules is the son of Zeus, and he’s a powerful god known for unmatched strength. 

Back in the day, before the Jeep Gladiator made its debut, fans speculated that a Hercules trim could arrive. But we got the Rubicon trim for off-roading instead. But as more trucks gain supercharged V8 engines, it’s not crazy to think that a more powerful truck is on the way. 

Perhaps the Jeep Gladiator Hercules could serve as the son of the Ram 1500 TRX. Only the tale won’t involve all that Greek mythology drama.

What’s new for the 2022 Gladiator? 

So far, the 2022 Jeep Gladiator is expected to be primarily a carryover model. It just came out for 2020, so this truck is still pretty new. However, it recently gained an option for half doors, and new special edition colors could arrive. 

But this past year has been full of surprises. For example, Jeep is working on creating a hybrid trim for each Jeep model. The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is the second most powerful Jeep ever with 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. 

However, the Jeep Gladiator Hercules won’t be the hybrid model. Jeep is sticking with the 4xe badge for the Cherokee, Renegade, and Compass. Although, we feel like pairing Hercules with lightning is common. 

There have been Jeep Gladiator 4xe teasers floating about. One showed the dashboard of the Jeep Gladiator with blue accent stitching instead of red. Other 4xe Jeep models have the same shade of blue. 

The most powerful Wrangler is the Rubicon 392. It has a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 engine that generates 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4.5 seconds. 

The 392 name refers to the cubic-inch measurement of the engine. It might not fit in the Gladiator. Also, if the engine doesn’t fit, then the faster Gladiator would probably have a different name. 

What is the Rezvani Hercules 6×6? 

The Jeep Gladiator Hercules rumors were around before the Rezavani Hercules emerged. The Renvazi Hercules is a 6×6 beast that may have taken the chance of a Gladiator Hercules from happening. Jeep could name a more powerful truck something else to avoid legal trouble. 

Anyways, the Rezavani Hercules has an optional 500 hp 6.4-liter V8 engine that adds $40,000 to the price. It also has a third axle, so it does have true 6×6 capabilities. This separates it from being a tank as well. 

The truck can be equipped with the 7.0-liter HEMI V8 that’s based on the new HELLCrate motor with a forged stroker crankshaft, pistons, and a new camshaft. This creates 1,300 hp and 989 lb-ft of torque and costs about $249,000. 

We may be old-fashioned, but we would like to see a more powerful Jeep Gladiator model with the traditional four wheels. We can sense that something new is on the horizon, and we will keep you updated as we learn more.
