What the 2021 Kia Sedona has to offer 

Kia’s Sedona is easily the chicest model in today’s minivan class. Unlike its bulky and broadish competitors, the Sedona boasts a sleeker sense of style. This minivan also impresses with its sense of comfort and available tech.

The 2021 Sedona is a breezy ride that’s relatively quick. This Kia is available in three trim levels: LX, EX, and SX. Each trim is powered by the same 276-hp, 3.3.-liter V6 engine that’s linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is also standard. Critics praise the Sedona for its satiny V6. The downside is that the Sedona isn’t as agile as its main rival, the Honda Odyssey.

What the 2021 Kia Sorento has to offer 

The 2021 model year is especially exciting for the Sorento. Kia has completely redesigned the Sorento for 2021. The new Sorento is swankier than ever and shares many of the same elements as the acclaimed Telluride.

As Car and Driver highlights, the 2021 Sorento features five different trims: L, LX, S, EX, and SX. The SUV is standard with a 191-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder; there’s an available turbo-four that produces 281-hp. Both engines come with an eight-speed automatic. The other big news is that the Sorento will offer a new hybrid powertrain.  

Like the Sedona, the Sorento provides convenient storage spaces and many cup holders. It has standard seating for seven people. The Sorento also offers lots of in-car tech. It comes with an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. You may want to opt for the upgraded infotainment system that has a 10.3-inch touchscreen. Furthermore, the Sorento offers advanced safety equipment, including standard forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking. 

Kia Sorento vs. Kia Sedona 

A 2021 Kia Sedona begins at $30,400, while the 2021 Sorento starts at $29,390. Both models are compelling options. It’s easy to see why you want the new Sorento because it’s trendy and comes with a longer list of features than the Sedona. On the flip side, the Sedona’s main advantage as a minivan is that it’s more versatile and spacious.
