The Ford Bronco is coming back after over a decade away, and it’s coming back in force. The Bronco still has its iconic shape, but, at the same time, Ford is also offering a lot of stuff to separate the Bronco from the pack. Here’s a look at all the things that you can add to the 2021 Ford Bronco.

The 2021 Ford Bronco’s many customization options

Like any other vehicle, the 2021 Bronco offers a lot of options in terms of customization. For instance, under the hood, MotorTrend wrote that Ford offers two engines and two transmissions in the Bronco. In terms of transmissions, there’s obviously a choice between a manual or an automatic. In terms of engines, Ford offers a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6. 

The standard 2.3-liter gets 270 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque, while the 2.7-liter gets 310 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. The 2.7-liter is a more powerful gas engine than what Jeep offers on the Wrangler, but MotorTrend said that Ford doesn’t have a diesel option that can compete with Jeep’s diesel engine just yet. 

Ford also offers options on the exterior of the Bronco. For example, MotorTrend said that there are two hard-top options as well as a soft-top option. On a deeper level, customers also have a choice between a two-door Bronco or a four-door one. While these are the major customization options that help make the it a rather unique SUV, Ford isn’t done yet. 

Ford offers over 200 accessories for the 2021 Bronco

The Bronco mainly competes with the Jeep Wrangler, and as MotorTrend wrote, Wrangler fans love to accessorize their Jeeps. As a result, Ford wanted the Bronco to be able to do the same thing, so the automaker will be offering a ton of options for accessories. These accessories can be installed either in the factory, at the dealership, or even by yourself. 

For example, MotorTrend said that the Bronco can have accessories such as tubular doors, roof racks, auxiliary lighting, bead-lock wheels, and bikini tops. Of course, since there are over 200 accessories that are available on the Bronco, it’s pointless to list them all out.

That said, Ford has done more than just offer accessories on the Bronco. MotorTrend also said that Ford has made it very easy for customers to customize their Bronco themselves. This is because Ford has put special fasteners all around the vehicle, and these fasteners can be used to attach accessories. MotorTrend said that there are 40 of these fasteners inside the Bronco and anywhere between 12 to 18 of them on the exterior. 

Some examples of the customization possibilities

Since there are so many possibilities in terms of how the 2021 Bronco can be customized, MotorTrend said that Ford demonstrated a few of these possibilities to MotorTrend’s reviewers. One of those customization possibilities includes a bolt in the interior of the Bronco that’s near the center dash. This bolt can be used to attach a “bring your own device” bar, which in turn can be used to attach things such as a GoPro or a dashboard cam.

Also, near the top-center of the windshield frame, Ford installed six auxiliary switches that will allow owners to install exterior lights to many parts of their Bronco. Furthermore, Ford also demonstrated a slide-out tailgate on the Bronco, and it should allow owners to have a lot of fun with their car. 

While these were just a few possible customization options on the Bronco, there are countless more. With so many options available, Ford has already made the Bronco significantly more unique than its competitors are.
