You Can Still Get 0% Car Loans: These Are the 2023 Models That Have It
You’ve seen the headlines that we’re at the end of 0% car financing when car buying. But that only applies to some vehicles. There are still 0% car loans out there on new 2023 vehicles. Though the month of October is closing, these are the vehicles, by manufacturer, that have zero annual percentage rate (0 APR). We expect most, if not all of them, to offer no-interest financing in November 2023.
Most car loans average 7.4% interest. As a result, 17.7% of the loans push the monthly payments to over $1,000. But for “well-qualified” buyers, U.S. News says average loan rates are between 1.9% and 3.9%.
Buying a new car is always about the bottom line, but that should also include how much interest you’re paying for the car’s loan. And even a 2% or 3% monthly loan can add up quickly. As CarFax points out, a 3% loan on a $25,000 car over 60 months comes to about $2,000.
Who is eligible for 0% car loans?
Keep in mind that some of these advertised 0 APR loans vary from state to state. In some cases, they only apply to a specific model and trim and not over an entire line. The same goes for the length of the loan.
Also, know that 0 APR loans are only for buyers with extremely high credit ratings. So, right off the bat, if your credit isn’t stellar, you’ll have to look for loan interest as a part of your monthly payment. These variables may or may not apply to the specific car you want, depending on the state you live in.
So make sure you determine whether the car you’re looking for has 0 APR financing and whether the terms suit your expectations. Also, a number of these loans apply to vehicles at the end of their production, so manufacturers want them gone to embrace new models arriving in the next few months.
