Your 2021 Chevy Tahoe Can Have Even More Power
Do you feel like your 2021 Chevy Tahoe needs a little more umph? Because now you can easily add more power because GM released performance parts. The parts are available for the 2021 Chevy Suburban, too, so you can upgrade either beast.
Upgrade the 2021 Chevy Tahoe or Suburban
The totally redesigned 2021 Chevy Tahoe and its burly brother, the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban, are just now hitting dealership lots, but these SUVs are already getting better.
To tempt buyers, you can now have specialty parts installed by the dealer to enhance their performance. These parts are limited production options, according to AutoBlog.
The first upgrade is for the air intake system. The revised intake can be fitted to the 5.3-liter EcoTech V8 engine or 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine. These engines are exclusive to the Tahoe, and Suburban High Country trims.
It delivers a 13% reduction in intake pressure on the 5.3-liter engine and a 17% decrease on the 6.2-liter. Plus, it has a clear plastic cover and bright red filter element to pop. You can upgrade to this system for $625.
You can also add a new cat-back exhaust system. One option is a side-exiting single unit, or you can go with the rear-exiting dual exhaust outlet. Both options are available for the 5.3-liter engine, but the 6.2-liter engine can only be paired with the dual-outlet option.
Both systems will reduce back pressure by 30%, and the 5.3-liter engine will gain 7 hp and 4 lb-ft of torque with the side-exiting exhaust. The 6.2-liter engine will gain 11 hp and 6 lb-ft of torque with the dual unit. The single-exist system costs $1,645, while the dual unit costs $2,145.
The 2021 Chevy Suburban and Tahoe can both GO. That’s why you can upgrade their stopping power with upgraded brakes. The Brembo six-piston front calipers are bright red with Brembo badging, and the rear units have larger Duralife rotors. The front brakes cost about $2,895, and the rears cost $575.
