YouTube Car Channels That Are Worth Watching
Whether you’re looking for car advice or are just looking to be entertained, YouTube is perhaps the best and most entertaining source to get what you need. However, be careful, as there are many channels that are simply not worth watching, but for every bad channel, there’s a good one. If you find yourself getting lost in the black hole that is YouTube, here some good automotive-related channels that are definitely worth your time watching.
Kelley Blue Book
Kelley Blue Book has come a long way from being the little blue book that just told you residual values when it came to selling your car. You can now find your car’s value on their handy website and, whether you know it or not, can read car reviews and comparisons on there as well.
But what you might not know is that the folks over KBB.com have had their own YouTube channel for quite some time now and the quality of their videos, both in cinematics and information, is top-notch. The semi-snarky deliveries from hosts Micah Muzio and Lyn Woodward add a lot of entertainment value as well.
Throttle House
If you want some sound car information while being entertained, then we can’t recommend Throttle House enough. The hosts, Thomas and James, do a great job every week of presenting everything from car comparisons to high-dollar exotics in order to provide viewers with a fun and informative take. We admittingly have gotten stuck watching episode-after-episode of Throttle House, but we did not come out of the black hole feeling short-changed.
Doug Demuro
Doug Demuro has been an auto journalist for a quite a while now and has been posting car review videos for the better part of the past decade. While his videos might not have the same type of high-end cinematic quality as others, we like that he puts on a one-man show to deliver viewers a different angle on the cars that he reviews. He typically points out every car’s quirks and features as well as his driving experiences for each.
Raiti’s Rides
If you’re looking for a simple and straight car review, then Raiti’s Rides is a great channel to watch. The host, Joe Raiti, seemingly works harder than every other YouTuber as he publishes car reviews a few times a week. In his reviews, he typically goes over every little detail and feature in the car as well as driving impressions at the end of each. The best part is when he describes the size of every compartment in the car by how many twinkies and other types of candy that you can fit in them. Apparently, Joe has a sweet tooth.
The Straight Pipes
If you want more car comparisons with some entertaining commentary, then we suggest The Straight Pipes. The hosts, Yuri and Jakub, are two outgoing Canadians that review all types of cars from the mundane to the exotic and present them in a fun and entertaining fashion. Some the cars they review are for the Canadian market, however, they do a great job in globally relating them to their viewers watching anywhere in the world.
Have fun getting lost
There are many different YouTube channels that you can spend your time watching, from the backyard mechanic with a cell phone to the groups with higher production value. However, if you want to get lost in a black hole and make sure that you get the best information possible while being entertained at the same time, then you can’t go wrong with this list.
