The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer Has This Over the Kia Sportage
The 2023 Kia Sportage is a vehicle that has recently gained tremendous popularity. It’s an excellent SUV, but the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer beats it in one significant way. Perhaps one of the most helpful ways the 2023 Chevy Blazer comes out on top is due to towing capacity. Both SUVs are relatively small but one never knows when they may need to tow something.
The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer can tow significantly more
The 2023 Blazer has much going for itself, but its towing capacity is perhaps one of the most exciting traits. This rebooted Chevy SUV can tow up to 4,500 pounds, which is surprising given its size. However, the similarly sized and styled 2023 Kia can only tow 1,653 pounds. Many people could choose between these two SUVs, and the better towing in the Blazer could be a reason to pick it.
In addition to better towing, the 2023 Chevy Blazer has a more powerful engine. According to Car and Driver, it comes standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 228 horsepower four-cylinder engine. There’s also an optional 3.6-liter V6 engine, which is where the most significant towing ability comes in. The four-cylinder option only tows up to 1500 pounds.
The 2023 Chevy Blazer is also considerably faster than the 2023 Sportage. The base model Blazer accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 8.4 seconds, whereas the Kia SUV does the same in 9.3 seconds. Both offer faster trims, but the Blazer beats them all. They have in common that they can both be front or all-wheel drive. They also both have electric versions, with the Blazer EV arriving for 2024.
The 2023 Chevy Blazer interior is Camaro inspired
Both the new Blazer and the 2023 Sportage have impressive interiors. However, the 2023 Chevy Blazer comes out on top in the minds of many. It has design elements reminiscent of the iconic Camaro. It has big round air vents that make an impression while also controlling the temperature. In addition, the inside of the Chevy SUV has a two-tone color scheme.
In terms of interior technology, the new Blazer has a standard 10-inch touchscreen that supports wireless charging. It includes two USB ports, a 120-volt outlet on some models, and an optional eight-speaker Bose system. For the most part, the Blazer interior technology beats that of the Sportage.
The Blazer costs more
While the 2023 Sportage and the new Chevrolet Blazer have much in common, one SUV costs considerably more than the other. The Kia option starts at $26,290, while the Blazer has an opening price of $35,100. Understandably so, the price of the Blazer would deter many people. However, it offers not only better towing but also overall better performance.
Both new SUVs offer much to the market. They’re both vehicles that have modern and dynamic looks. In fact, many believe they look familiar to each other with their exterior designs. The 2023 Chevy Blazer and 2023 Kia Sportage are triumphs from their respective automakers, but the Blazer has features the Kia simply doesn’t have.
