This 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Broke Down After 6 Weeks
The 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee is among the best midsize SUVs. It’s modern, has a great look, and it’s also a versatile option. However, a couple that recently bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee had significant issues after mere weeks of ownership. On top of that, the fixes were not cheap. It’s important to point out that Jeep doesn’t have the best reputation when it comes to reliability.
This couple’s new Jeep Grand Cherokee had one big issue
According to Daily Dot, Kris and Hillary, who post to TikTok under the name of @fuelyourwander, recently had quite the ordeal in buying what many call one of the best midsize SUVs. They decided to buy a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee in New Jersey and were excited about the purchase. However, the new car excitement was short-lived as they began to experience mechanical issues right away.
After only six weeks of owning the Grand Cherokee, Kris and Hillary experienced a breakdown that took three weeks to get fixed. Sadly, the rear air suspension failed after only six weeks of driving the new Grand Cherokee. This mechanical issue could easily cause a car accident under certain circumstances. Luckily, that was not the case here.
Of course, the Jeep was under warranty. However, vehicle warranties don’t cover all the expenses related to getting a car fixed. For example, they had to pay out of pocket for things like having the new Jeep Grand Cherokee towed, the use of a rental, etc. Still, that wasn’t the end of their reliability problems, as they had similar issues mere days after getting the Grand Cherokee back.
Daily Dot reached out to the couple, and they now have the 2024 Grand Cherokee back after months of dealing with the issue. They also shared that Stellantis reimbursed them for their out-of-pocket expenses. Naturally, many people commenting on their videos had less than pleasing things to say about Jeep. As we recently reported, Jeep has 3 of the least reliable vehicles for 2024.
