The 2024 BMW X3 is one of the top SUVs in the luxury segment. This is especially the case for people who want something compact and sporty. Now, the 2025 BMW X3 has been announced, and not only is it more powerful, but all trims use a hybrid system. It’s also a little bigger than the outgoing BMW model. This should put up a decent fight against the 2025 Audi Q5.

The 2025 BMW X3 offers a bit more power than the 2024 model. According to the BMW, buyers can pick between two engines. The first is a 2.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged engine. It makes 255 horsepower and has a torque of 295 lb-ft. Like the more powerful trim, it also uses a 48v hybrid system. The 2025 BMW X3 is also quick, as it only needs 6.3 seconds to get from 0 to 60 miles per hour.

Those who want more power can opt for the M50 trim of the 2025 X3. This one uses a 3.0-liter engine that has a maximum output of 393 horsepower and a torque of 428 lb-ft. For comparison, the top trim of the 2024 BMW X3 made 382 horsepower. This model also has an improved suspension system that brings improved agility and cornering abilities. M50 trim buyers can also add the Adaptive M Suspension system.

The 2025 BMW X3 also gets an upgrade when it comes to interior technology. It will use BMW Operating System 9 and a new driver-oriented curved display. The system also includes a digital gauge cluster.

Regarding overall advancements, the new model also makes some level of semi-automated driving standard. Buyers get Parking Assistant as standard, but there are also upgraded versions.

Naturally, the 2025 BMW X3 also has a new design that makes it look even more modern. This new generation of the X3 comes with an overall longer and wider vehicle with a new front grille. In terms of price, the 30 trim of the X3 will start at $50,675, and the M50 version has an MSRP of $65,275. This puts it in line with the 2025 Audi Q5 and other top SUVs.
