The 2025 GMC Terrain has just been announced. In most ways, the upcoming model seems to have what it takes to become one of the top SUVs for people considering something rugged. The automaker has improved its technology over the 2024 GMC Terrain, and the new model is also slightly bigger and offers more safety features.

The 2025 GMC Terrain offers more in all the ways that buyers want

The GMC Terrain has been one of the top SUVs for a while but the new model offers some enhancements. According to GMC, the 2025 Terrain will come standard with over 15 safety and driver assistance features. They include Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, and Blind Zone Steering Assist.

The automaker also offers significant upgrades when it comes to interior technology for the 2025 GMC Terrain. For starters, it has a 15-inch diagonal infotainment screen and an 11-inch diagonal driver information center. The new infotainment system is significant because it can show three applications simultaneously.

Buyers will also be happy that the 2025 GMC Terrain offers up to eight camera views. This includes an optional rear camera, which is new for the nameplate. To enhance the experience of all buyers, the new model also comes standard with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Reports say the new model has an extra inch of headroom and more front seat legroom than before.

Regarding its exterior appearance, the 2025 Terrain has a more rugged stance. The new model also stands out from other top SUVs thanks to its new front grille, which makes it resemble GMC trucks. There’s also a new headlight design for the SUV. Additionally, buyers can add a two-tone roof in either black or gray. The new model comes standard with 17-inch wheels.

Potential buyers should note that the Elevation trim will arrive first, and the AT4 and Denali models will come later. Regarding performance, the new model will keep the same turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that makes 175 horsepower. The automaker hasn’t announced pricing. However, it’s expected that the new GMC Terrain will start in the ballpark of $32,000, which isn’t too far off from the 2024 model.
