This 2025 Honda Civic Proves Even New Cars Can Have Issues
The 2025 Honda Civic is already one of the best new cars on the market. Of course, this comes as no surprise as the compact sedan has always been a favorite among buyers. However, one owner recently noticed the check engine light. The auto mechanics the person took the car to thought it might have transmission problems. However, there was a part missing.
Auto mechanics are saying the 2025 Honda Civic may have early issues
Auto mechanics praise Honda vehicles for their reliability. However, it and other well-trusted automakers seem to have more issues than they did before. One beacon of proof is what recently happened with this 2025 Honda Civic. According to Daily Dot, TikToker Julian Le (@kuro.auto) took to social media to detail the process needed to determine what caused its check engine light to come on with only 100 miles on the odometer.
He starts the video series by lamenting how even the best new cars are less trustworthy than models of the past. As most auto mechanics do, the man runs a diagnostic on the car and gets a code that tells him there’s an issue with the torque converter. However, the problem doesn’t stop there as he realizes there’s a leak. Upon further investigation, he came to the conclusion that the 2025 Honda Civic didn’t have an O-ring on the torque converter, which is what triggered the code and the check engine light.
Luckily, this 2025 Honda Civic didn’t have transmission problems. However, as many people commented on the TikToker series of videos, it’s still concerning that the team at whatever plant built that 2025 Civic would leave out the O-ring. Of course, had the owner not taken the car in, the leak could have progressed and caused other issues with the new Honda Civic.
