The Chevrolet Camaro is one of the top sports cars and has been since its inception. Naturally, this means that used Camaro models are in high demand. However, despite being one of the best sports cars, some editions aren’t as stellar as others. In fact, some have pretty severe issues that used car buyers would want to avoid. In particular, the 2010, 2013 and 2015 Chevy Camaro models aren’t the best. These are enough to make people want a used Ford Mustang.

Used car buyers can find other used Chevy Camaro models than the 2010

Used Chevy Camaro models can be among the top sports cars for several reasons. However, the 2010 Chevy Camaro is one that used car buyers should think twice about. Among the worst issues for the car are various transmission issues, which are often the case with the SS trim. Still, all trims suffer from premature timing chain failure.

Many people might be tempted to get the 2010 Chevy Camaro because of the price. However, Vehicle History predicts that this model only gets to about 150,000 miles without significant issues. Some used car buyers might have better luck, but there are far too many solid Chevy models to settle. This model is bad enough to make people want a used Ford Mustang instead.

The 2013 model isn’t among the top sports cars

The 2013 Chevy Camaro is not one of the top sports cars because it also has some notable issues. In fact, this model has over 300 registered problems on CarComplaints. Electrical issues with the car make up a ton of the complaints, with malfunctions with the radio being in abundance. However, some owners have said that the electrical issues also impact the turn signals.

There are also safety issues with this used Chevy Camaro. One of the biggest has to do with the brakes, as the parking brake doesn’t always function the way it should. Naturally, this is a massive concern. In general, the 2013 Chevy Camaro is not one of the best sports cars.

The 2015 model isn’t perfect either

The 2015 Chevy Camaro is also not one of the best used models. It has fewer issues than the 2010 and 2013 models, but it’s still not one hard buyers will want when there are so many better options. Unfortunately, this model has many of the same electrical issues as the 2013.

However, that’s not all. There are several reports of the ignition problems. In particular, the key sometimes gets stuck in accessory mode instead of turning the car off. Many owners have had to wait for the battery to die to remove the key. The 2011 and 2014 Camaro models also have notable issues and don’t make for great used cars.
