Auto mechanics get to know vehicles on a hands-on basis. This means that many of them have differing opinions on various automakers. Of course, the same is valid for drivers. Recently, one well-known auto shop shared a video online where an auto mechanic known as The Professor revealed three automakers he’d never buy cars from. Naturally, it’s also important to point out that all three companies have made some of the best new cars across practically all types of vehicles. 

3 Automakers this well known auto mechanic would never buy from

Naturally, auto mechanics have strong opinions on car brands. After all, they make a living working on many of these vehicles, so they get to know their faults over the years. According to Daily Dot, one Georgia mechanic took to his shop’s official page and shared his opinions on which automakers he doesn’t trust. The TikTok account is Royalty Auto Service, which also happens to be the shop’s name. 

Based on some of the comments on the video, it seems many other auto mechanics feel the same way as they echoed similar sentiments. Still, there were plenty of other people who disagreed and expressed how they’d had great experience with the three automakers the mechanic suggested not buying from.

Some auto mechanics agree about Hyundai

As many know, Hyundai makes some of the best new cars. However, it was the first automaker this mechanic listed when discussing companies he’d never buy from. He first says that he and other auto mechanics have experienced several issues with various Hyundai vehicles over the years. Not only that, but The Professor adds that they also don’t have the most inexpensive price tags. 

Kia

Like Hyundai, Kia has improved reliability and now makes some of the best new cars. However, it also made The Professor’s list of automakers he’d never buy from. When it came to Kia, he said that it was essentially for the same reasons as Hyundai. In fact, he even describes it as “Just another Hyundai.” Many auto mechanics have also said the same. Still, there’s no denying that people love Kia vehicles.

Jaguar

The renowned mechanic only intended to list two automakers he’d never buy cars from but then decided to add another. However, this one did have a caveat. For the third, he said he’d never buy a Jaguar and threw in the Land Rover umbrella of vehicles. However, he does add that the cars and SUVs are stylish and that he would get one if he had the money needed to throw into them. Many other auto mechanics have expressed similar beliefs.
