Regarding auto warranty companies, CarShield is one of the most infamous. Not only have there been complaints about its customer service, but many have wondered if CarShield might be a scam. However, auto mechanics also hate the company, and one recently took to social media to demonstrate why it may not be the best option for people looking for extended warranty companies. 

The CarShield warranty isn’t one of the best for buyers

The truth is that auto warranty companies have a bit of a bad reputation. However, the CarShield warranty is among the worst. According to Daily Dot, a content creator named Alex The Car Doctor recently took to TikTok to show why customers needing vehicle protection should consider other options besides the CarShield Warranty. 

Alex starts his video off by saying, “Another CarShield claim is probably gonna get denied.” He then says that the customer brought the car in because they experienced various malfunctions such as skipping, coughing, etc. This is after they had a tune-up completed by other auto mechanics. Alex then found that the car had low compression and then did some other investigating. 

In the end, he found that the previous auto mechanics may have done shoddy work. The rocker assembly was loose, and he found a zip tie in the intake. Being a mechanic of integrity, he had to report what he saw to the CarShield Warranty company, and he knew they would deny the claim. He says, “They’re not gonna cover negligence due to form material dropped down in the engine.”

As we pointed out in our previous article about the CarShield warranty, the company is notorious for finding ways to deny claims. The same is true for other extended car warranty companies, but CarShield is among the worst for it. However, Alex does offer a piece of advice and says drivers should be careful which auto mechanics they take their vehicles to for service. Many also say that the CarShield customer service is also questionable.
