The repair was so expensive for this lady’s Range Rover that she involved the police
Auto mechanics are among the most essential parts of the automotive industry. However, their service can be expensive, and it can be challenging to know how much some repairs will cost. This happened to one Range Rover owner when she went to get her SUV fixed. The cost was more than she could afford, and things went haywire.
This Range Rover owner didn’t want to pay auto mechanics for the fix
Auto mechanics are responsible for keeping vehicles running the way they should. They are also great when it comes to car advice. However, customers sometimes give these automotive professionals a hard time. According to Daily Dot, Justin Matis (@jaymanfam802) recently took to TikTok to share what happened when a Range Rover owner couldn’t pay for her repairs.
This lady needed work done on her thermostat and radiator. As is often the case with auto mechanics, he has fixed the lady’s vehicles before, so they had a working relationship. This time, the repair came out to be about $1,500, which he says is a “great rate.” In fact, this mechanic says his prices are on the lower end for their area at about $70 per hour.
The problem began when she failed to pick up the car from the auto mechanics as she was supposed to. Days went by, and someone else at the shop informed the person who worked on the car that she was trying to have it towed without paying for the repairs. Naturally, this was anything but okay. He confronted her about not paying but still trying to take the Range Rover, and she sent a police officer to the shop.
Of course, given that the Range Rover owner failed to pay her bill, the police officer didn’t force the mechanic to release the vehicle. Now, he’s weighing his options regarding what to do. He even offered to drop the storage charges for the vehicle if she started making payments towards what she owes, but it seems the vehicle is still in the mechanic’s possession.
