Ford to recall 90,000 vehicles over massive engine valve defects
This has been a bad year for automakers having to recall vehicles. Now, Ford has a new car recall on its hands over concerns with the engine. This recall impacts several of the most popular Ford vehicles and some others that use the same engines. Like many of the others this year, it’s pretty massive as it impacts tens of thousands of vehicles. Owners can take their vehicles to auto mechanics at Ford dealers to get the issue fixed.
Ford has a new car recall on its hands
According to Yahoo, Ford is recalling about 90,736 new cars due to concerns with the engine intake valves. This car recall is significant because there is reason to believe the intake values could break while people are driving their vehicles. As mentioned, this includes several of the Blue Oval’s most popular cars. The engines in question are the 2.7-liter and the 3.0-liter Nano EcoBoost. The vehicles include the following:
- The Ford Bronco from 2021 through 2022
- The Ford F-150 from 2021 through 2022
- The Ford Edge from 2021 through 2022
- The Ford Explorer from 2021 through 2022
The car recall also includes other 2021 through 2022 vehicles:
- Lincoln Nautilus
- Lincoln Aviator
Naturally, drivers impacted by the car recall can expect to receive an official letter. As far as getting the issue fixed, owners can take the cars to the auto mechanics at Ford dealerships. They will run an engine cycle test and do a replacement if needed. Of course, this will be a free fix, as it is with all car recalls.
