The Chevrolet Impala is a legend when it comes to the American automotive market. Its roots date back to 1958, but unfortunately, Chevrolet discontinued the Impala in 2020 due to a shift in the market. In particular, the 2019 Chevrolet Impala is one of the best sedans for used car buyers. It has solid ratings, delivers impressive performance, and it’s spacious. It’s also comparable to a used Honda Accord.

One reason to love the 2019 Chevrolet Impala, and other models for that matter, is the performance it delivers. It may not be the fastest car in its class, but it is one of the best sedans for performance, thanks to the V6 the automaker offers. According to Edmunds, the 2019 Chevy Impala comes standard with a 2.5-liter inline-four engine that makes 197 horsepower with a torque of 191 lb-ft.

Those seeking more power can go for a used Chevrolet Impala with the 3.6-liter V6 engine. It has a maximum output of 305 horsepower and a torque of 264 lb-ft.

It may not be the best sedan for speed, but the Impala has never been a slouch. Based on road tests, it only takes about six seconds for the V6 to get from 0 to 60 miles per hour. This speed is similar to a used Honda Accord from the same year. Despite the use of a V6, this used Impala isn’t too bad regarding fuel economy. It averages 18 miles per gallon in the city and 28 MPG on the highway.

This is a spacious and highly rated car for used buyers

Used car buyers should also consider a Chevrolet Impala from 2019 because it’s spacious. It seats up to five people but offers much more space than the used Honda Accord from the same year. Additionally, the Impala has a generous amount of cargo space in the rear as well as convenient storage throughout the cabin.
