The shroud is lifted on the updated 2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, and the 668-horsepower beast’s manual transmission will continue to please enthusiasts almost as much as the Blackwing’s brute force.

Cadillac announced several updates for the 2025 CT5-V and the more powerful Blackwing version. Notably, the CT5-V will sport more aggressive exterior styling and improved tech. But enthusiasts can breathe a sigh of relief as the six-speed manual transmission remains. As such, the CT5-V Blackwing remains the most powerful new car that can be purchased with a manual transmission.

The manual returns with Cadillac’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8 developing 668 horsepower and 659 lb.-ft. of torque. The setup is good to launch the brutish Blackwing from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds.

The 2025 CT5-V and Blackwing variant wear a revised front fascia, including a slightly wider grille. The differences are subtle, but the CT5-V’s vertical LED light matrix is now seamless from the fender to front fascia. Adjacent to the new lighting unit are sharply angled trim pieces flanking the lower intake, which has also been tweaked.

The interior remains mostly unchanged, but the CT5-V now sports Cadillac’s crisply colored 33-inch LED touchscreen display. The larger screen replaces the 10-inch touchscreen and 12-inch digital gauge cluster on the previous model.

The Blackwing’s Performance Data Recorder system displayed through the new 33-inch screen sports some new features. Additions include real-time displays of power, torque and boost and a live “dyno graph-style” readout of power and torque with interactive analysis. Drivers can now customize the display of certain data points, like g-forces or tire temperature, as well. The system also features a lap analyzer tool, lap delta times, a database of tracks and other features.

Mechanical performance kit returning includes GM’s magnetic Ride Control 4.0 featuring magnetorheological dampers, an electronic limited slip differential, Brembo six-piston front calipers and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires. Carbon ceramic matrix brakes are also available.

Cadillac will reveal pricing later for the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing. The 2024 model starts at $94,890 with the six-speed manual and $98,065 for models equipped with the 10-speed automatic.

Production on the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing begins this summer.
