Nowadays, many people believe that Mitsubishi makes some of the best new cars. This comes as the automaker has somewhat changed its image from what it used to be. However, one man recently took to TikTok to highlight some of the severe issues he’s had with this 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, which some call one of the top SUVs. Spoiler alert: It’s bad.

This Eclipse Cross won’t start

According to Daily Dot, Chicago Ridge Adventures (@chicagoridgeadventures) recently took to TikTok to air out his frustrations and to ask for recommendations on his 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. He says that the car has left him and his family stranded at least eight times. According to the TikToker, things have gotten worse as the SUV wouldn’t start while he filmed the video. With it being a recent model, most would assume there would be something the dealership or Mitsubishi itself could do.

He says, “Countryside Mitsubishi can’t fix and won’t replace our faulty 2022 Eclipse Cross.” The man goes on, “It just will not stop dying. Everything we do is literally just a problem. Every couple weeks it just dies on us. Every couple months.”

We’ve had our 2022 eclipse cross with only 29k miles towed 9x now. They have done everything they can. Held on to to it for over a week a couple times to dignose. Mitsubishi tech has assisted. And 5x they found the issue and fixed it. 1x they claimed it was our own fault and wouldnt initiate a buy back. 1 time they were 100% sure they fixed it, only for it to die on us yet again for a 9th time. We are over this vehicle. And the best they can offer is a trade in for less than we owe and we have to buy a new car from them to do it. #mitsubishi #mitsubishieclipse #help #carproblems #lemonlaw #lawyer #lawyersoftiktok @supercarblondie @Producer Michael @Emma Newman @Jason car repair #chicago #countrysidemitsubishi

In the dealership’s defense, the social media user says the employees have done all they can. The technicians have checked the transmission, the wiring, etc. However, they can’t figure out why it keeps dying. He even said they believed they had it fixed once, but the issue came back. He tried to trade in the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, as many would do. However, the dealership would have given him less than what he owes on the car loan, leaving him upside down.

The Eclipse Cross only has 29,000 miles, so it’s still under warranty. However, this is only useful when they can figure out the problem. Still, many call it one of the top SUVs and Mitsubishi makes some of the best new cars.
