The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime base price isn’t cheap

The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime is available in two trims — SE and XSE — with pricing starting at $43,440 MSRP. The Prime model commands $14,965 more than the traditional RAV4 and $11,965 over the RAV4 Hybrid. That premium nets RAV4 Prime buyers 38 mpg combined in gas power alone and 94 MPGe with up to 42 miles of all-electric driving range with standard all-wheel drive.

The RAV4 Prime features an 18.1-kWh battery pack, and its 6.6-kWh charger can replenish the batteries in about 2.5 hours through a 240-volt outlet.

The 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime packs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and dual electric motors that deliver more power than the RAV4 Hybrid’s units. Its output is 302 hp, making the Prime the most potent RAV4 in the lineup. Its hybrid system pairs with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Exterior features include LED headlights, 18-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, and a power liftgate.

Standard interior features include keyless entry with push-button start, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a six-speaker audio system. An 8.0-inch touchscreen and 7.0-inch digital driver’s display are also standard. Connectivity is highlighted by wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, satellite radio, and five USB ports.

Standard driver’s aids include forward collision warning with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot warning.

How much is a fully loaded 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime?

The top-tier 2024 Toyota RAV4 Prime XSE trim starts at $47,310. It uses the same drivetrain as the base model, but its $3,870 premium brings more upscale features.

The XSE features 19-inch wheels, two-tone exterior paint with a black roof, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and paddle shifters. Synthetic leather upholstery, interior ambient lighting, JBL speakers, wireless charging, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and 10.5-inch touchscreen are also standard on the top model.

Toyota offers many options and accessories

Supersonic Red exterior paint on the SE model adds $425, though five other hues are available at no extra cost. Meanwhile, Supersonic Red and Wind Chill Pearl, both with a black roof, are available for an additional $425 on the XSE. The top trim also allows buyers to choose black synthetic leather upholstery with or without red contrasts.   

The Weather & Moonroof Package for the SE model cost $1,665. It includes a power moonroof, a heated steering wheel, rear outboard heated seats, and rain-sensing windshield wipers with a de-icer function.

Two optional packages are available for the XSE model. A leather-trimmed heated steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers are available for $375. Additionally, these features are packaged with heated rear outboard seats for $815.
