Hyundai vehicles have improved greatly in recent years. Nowadays, many people would agree that it makes some of the best new cars. Still, some drivers are skeptical. According to Daily Dot, Brian McWilliams (@meanagedaydream) recently took to TikTok and told the internet the story of having multiple Hyundai vehicles fail and leave him and his family stranded.

He first shares that he had a Hyundai Sonata, which is one of the most popular vehicles in its class. Sadly, his experience was anything but positive. He says that his engine failed while driving on the freeway with his daughter. The TikToker says that the Sonata was under warranty, but the automaker refused to fix it.

This is the second #Hyundai that has had engine failure (Santa Fe this time), stranding my family AGAIN. Watch my earlier video for the absolutely terrifying story of engine failure in my Sonata at 60k miles, and how Hyundai refused to fix the problem, and then blamed me, despite their having an engine recall. @Hyundai USA @Hyundai Worldwide #fyp #carsoftiktok

Brian then says that he is using another of Hyundai’s popular vehicles, the Santa Fe. He continues, “Guess what? Engine just died on us again. Me and my daughter once again in the car, in a Hyundai, on the side of the road, waiting for service.” He also informs his viewers that they had recently had the Hyundai Santa Fe serviced.

Of course, the internet had several suggestions for cars the man should get besides a Hyundai. One came from an auto mechanic that suggested the Mazda CX-5. Still, buyers should note that many owners swear by Hyundai vehicles.
