The Kia Soul is one of the top small SUVs. It may not be one of the most powerful options, but it has a modern look and solid features. The 2025 Kia Soul has been announced, and one thing remains true: this is one of the most affordable SUVs on the market. In fact, it only gets a modest price increase over the 2024 Kia Soul. 

The 2025 Kia Soul is among the top small SUVs for the price

The 2024 Kia Soul is one of the top small SUVs, and the 2025 model seeks to continue the trend. According to Kia, the new model starts at only $20,290, and each trim has only increased by about $100 over the outgoing model. The new model brings quite a few changes, but the new Kia Soul retains the same powertrain from before, which is a 2.0-liter that makes 147 horsepower with a torque of 132 lb-ft. 

Regarding fuel economy, the 2025 Kia Soul averages 35 miles per hour on the highway and 29 miles per hour in the city. This also isn’t a slow SUV. Buyers can expect it to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in only 8.5 seconds. This makes it faster than options like the Honda HR-V. The new model also retains the continuously variable transmission from before. 

One new thing buyers can look forward to is a new package for the Kia Soul. It’s called the Soulmate Special Edition. It includes things like 18-inch alloy wheels, Umber interior color, a two-tone roof, and a Harman Kardon sound system. While the 2024 Kia Soul remains a viable option, the 2025 model is about as affordable.
