The iconic car experienced a 45.4 percent growth last year compared to 2022. This would have been difficult for any vehicle to match as prices continue to increase in the automotive market.
The Miata isn’t as cheap anymore
The Miata is still one of the best options for people who don’t want to spend BMW Z4 prices. However, it’s not as inexpensive as it once was, given that the price has grown so much over the years. Sure, the 2024 Mazda Miata still starts under $30,000. However, this is still a significant amount to pay for a car that offers less space than other sports cars.
Additionally, many diehard Miata enthusiasts are minimalists at heart. This means that some of them might prefer to buy their Miata used. The relatively high price of new models is another reason why someone may buy a slightly older version than a Mazda Miata from 2024 or even 2023. Additionally, this is also a niche vehicle, which means it’s less likely to maintain high sales than other models.
