Car wrecks are among the scariest parts of driving. They cause several fatalities, and they can also leave people with permanent injuries. Of course, motor vehicle crashes can also be dangerous for people in the vicinity of the car accident. This is what happened recently in Ohio when a car crashed into a popular sit-down chain restaurant, leaving several people injured as they were trying to enjoy a meal.

Not all motor vehicle crashes involve multiple cars

Car wrecks are never pleasant as they can cause much destruction for everyone nearby. However, most people don’t expect to be impacted by motor vehicle crashes when inside a restaurant, but it happened recently. According to NBC News4, people in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, were enjoying a meal at their local O’Charley’s when a vehicle suddenly crashed into the building.

Reports say that the vehicle crashed into the O’Charley’s restaurant around 6:30 on the evening of September 22nd. In total, 12 people sustained injuries from the impact. Of those, eight went to the hospital in an ambulance, and the other four could go independently for care. As is the case with many motor vehicle crashes, some people sustained trauma injuries. Luckily, none of the victims have life-threatening injuries from the unexpected wreck.

Not much is known about why the person driving the car had the accident. However, reports say that the driver was a male between 60 and 70 years old. He was alert and in good physical condition after the crash. The man drove the car into the to-go area of the restaurant, and officials were able to remove it about an hour after the crash. There is no word on if he will be charged with a crime.
