How Much Does a Fully Loaded 2024 Kia Niro Cost?
The Kia Niro joins the Sportage in the Korean automaker’s lineup of subcompact SUVs. The standard Niro is a hybrid, but the model is also available as a plug-in hybrid and fully electric model (which will be covered separately). So, how much can car shoppers expect to pay for a new Niro hybrid, from its base trim to its top-level offering? Here’s how much a fully loaded 2024 Kia Niro hybrid costs.
The 2024 Kia Niro starts at $26,840 MSRP
The 2024 Kia Niro hybrid is available in five trims — LX, EX, EX Touring, SX, and SX Touring — with prices starting at $26,840 MSRP and rising to $35,240 for the range-topping model.
The Niro entered its second generation for the 2023 model year, and as such, there are no major updates for the 2024 model.
All Niro hybrid models are motivated by a 1.6-iter four-cylinder and dual electric motors combining to develop a total of 139 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Unlike many hybrid crossovers, the Niro’s powertrain is paired with a six-speed, dual-clutch transmission. The Niro is exclusively front-wheel drive.
The standard Niro is rated for 49 combined mpg (53 city/45 highway).
The LX serves as the base model. It sports keyless entry, cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, five USB ports, a six-speaker sound system, and 16-inch alloy wheels. An 8-inch touchscreen is standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The Niro comes with a long list of standard driver aids. They include automatic forward emergency braking, rear automatic braking, lane-keeping, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, a driver attention warning, and rear passenger safe-exit monitoring.
The Niro SX Touring trim tops the range
The SX Touring trim ups the creature comforts and amenities as the range-topping model, starting at $35,240 MSRP.
The top model sports a power sunroof, power tailgate, roof rails, LED headlights and foglights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The cabin features synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated/ventilated front seats, LED lighting, and a power driver’s seat with lumbar support and memory settings. Connectivity is enhanced by a 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charging, navigation, satellite radio, and Hyundai’s Digital Key, which allows a smartphone to be used as a key fob.
Additional driver aids include adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and junction turning detection for the automatic braking system.
Options and accessories for the 2024 Kia Niro hybrid SUV
Customization and add-ons for the 2024 Kia Niro hybrid are extremely limited. In fact, the only optional package available across the Niro’s five trims is a roof rail package ($150) for the base LX model.
Buyers can add some customization through exterior paint choices, but availability depends on the choice of trim. Runaway Red, Snow White Pearl, and Aurora Black Pearl are available on all models for an additional $345. The SX and SX Touring trims can be finished in Cityscape Green or Mineral Blue with a black “aeroblade,” a body panel rising from the rear fender and meeting the C-pillar and liftgate, for $195.
Accessories, including an auto-dimming rearview mirror with Homelink ($350), a cargo tray ($115), mudguards ($125), and other accessories are available for all models.
A 2024 Kia Niro SX Touring with optional paint and every accessory available is priced at $38,050.
