The 2024 Lexus RX Plug-In Hybrid starts at $70,080 MSRP
The Lexus RX Plug-In Hybrid, dubbed the 450h+, is all-new for 2024 and expands Lexus’ RX lineup as the first PHEV model. The RX450h+ is motivated by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and three electric motors for a total output of 304 horsepower paired with continuously variable transmission and all-wheel drive. Toyota claims the plug-in RX can achieve 35 combined mpg and up to 35 miles of all-electric range. Additionally, a 6.6-kW onboard charge can fully recharge the batteries in two-and-a-half hours.
The 2024 RX450h+ starts at $70,080, including destination, making it the priciest RX model in the lineup. Only one trim is available for the model’s debut year, and its feature list mirrors that of the standard RX’s top Luxury grade trim.
Exterior highlights include 21-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, roof rails, a power liftgate, keyless entry, and heated exterior mirrors. Inside, the RX450h+ sports semi-aniline leather upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a heated wood/leather-trimmed steering wheel, a panoramic roof, and 40/20/40 power-folding rear seats.
Connectivity is highlighted by a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, satellite radio, and a wireless charging pad.
Standard driver aids include automatic forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, intelligent cruise control, road sign recognition, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a head-up display,
Options and accessories for the 2024 Lexus RX450h+
Though only one trim is available, the 2024 Lexus RX450h+ can be tailored with optional packages and accessories.
Eight exterior paint colors are available. Four hues are available at no cost, with three commanding an additional $500 and Copper Crest demanding a $595 add-on. Three interior color options are offered at no charge. They include black leather upholstery with black open-pore wood trim, Macadamia upholstery with Ash Bamboo trim, or “Peppercorn” upholstery with black wood trim.
The $1,420 Convenience Package adds a panoramic view monitor and traffic jam assist, a low-speed adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go function that requires a subscription after a three-year trial period. The Technology Package ($475) includes the Lexus Digital Key (with subscription) and a digital rearview mirror.
An automatic parking/remote parking system is available for $480. A hands-free liftgate ($150) and windshield wiper/heated steering wheel ($100) can also be added.
A total of 31 accessories are also available. They include all-weather cargo mats, a cargo net, a dashcam, illuminated door sills, various exterior protection films, bike racks, a tow hitch receiver, a roof cargo box, and more.
