Irate passenger causes flight to end before it began after she refused to deboard the plane
Many people have complaints about the commercial airline industry. Prices have increased, and it seems this popular mode of transportation is becoming less convenient in many ways. However, most plane passengers are willing to abide by the rules, as they keep people safe. Sadly, one angry plane passenger recently refused to listen to American Airlines, which caused a flight to end before it even started. This put a damper on everyone’s travel plans.
This plane passenger became “irate” and caused the aircraft to return to the gate
Flying on a commercial aircraft isn’t always the best experience. In fact, almost every plane passenger probably has a tale of when they felt let down by their time on an airplane. However, one woman recently ruined everyone’s experience with her bad behavior.
According to WHIO, An American Airlines flight had started the process of taxiing before taking off. Of course, this means that the people on the plane are supposed to either power off cell phones or put them into airplane mode. However, a 34-year-old plane passenger refused to do so. Reports say that she was actively using her mobile device. This behavior prompted the person sitting next to her to request that the staff on the flight move her to a different seat. Notably, the person making the request says the 34-year-old woman was intoxicated.
This is where things went wrong with the plane passenger using her phone. Reports say she became irate, forcing the pilot to return the aircraft to the gate. Naturally, they called the local police to attend to the matter. The police report says, “She advised the plane was delayed, and she was asleep in her seat. She woke up and believed she had arrived at her destination, but she was still in Dayton. She stated she asked the flight attendant for a drink but was denied.”
Police officers say they noticed a “strong odor of alcohol on her breath” and that her “attitude would fluctuate up and down.” They were able to help her book flights for the following day. It’s unclear how long the other passengers had to wait.
