This JetBlue passenger suffered a life altering head injury and can’t work after an unusually rough landing
It’s not common for plane passengers to get hurt on commercial flights. However, it does happen from time to time, and the injuries can sometimes be severe. Sadly, this happened to one plane passenger in 2022 who was flying on a JetBlue flight. Now, two years later, her life hasn’t been the same, and she’s suing.
This plane passenger had her life changed after an injury
Flights are usually safe for plane passengers. However, things can go wrong that can cause bodily harm to both passengers and crew members. According to The New York Post, this is what happened to Jacqueline Crowley from Massachusetts when she and her husband were traveling to Charleston, South Carolina, for a wedding.
The injured passenger says the airplane “came to an extremely abrupt stop while traveling at a high rate of speed.” The pilot then came over the intercom and informed everyone that the brakes had failed. However, the emergency brakes had taken over.
The plane passenger says that she noticed that she was injured as soon as the aircraft landed. According to her current lawsuit, she had “acute concussion and chronic post-concussion syndrome.” She has accused the airline of “negligence” and is seeking unspecified damage.
Since the incident, the plane passenger hasn’t been the same. Before, she worked in marketing, but she has been unable to continue because of her injuries.
According to her attorney, “Her head injury completely upended her life and rendered her unable to work. Two years later, she continues to suffer from chronic ringing in her ears as a result of the impact.”
The plane passenger also had this to say, “[JetBlue] does not seem to take seriously the physical impact to its passengers’ brains when one of its aircraft is forced to slam to a stop at an incredibly high rate of speed.”
She continued, “There were children on the plane, and I especially recall a young couple with a baby girl just a few rows up from me. What about that family? I hope they are ok.”
