Things can be hectic for plane passengers these days. There can be multiple delays, and some airlines have even had issues with the planes themselves. However, what most people don’t expect is to learn that law enforcement has arrested the pilot and escorted them off the airplane. This is what recently happened to people in Houston.

These plane passengers experienced a delay for a dramatic reason

According to Business Insider, the police arrested a Frontier Airlines pilot on Aug. 1. This happened right before the boarding time for the plane passengers. This happened at George Bush International Airport, and the pilot was 45-year-old Seymour Walker. The airline released the following statement, “Frontier Airlines can confirm that on Aug. 1, 2024, at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston (IAH), a crew member was taken into custody by local law enforcement.”

The statement continues, “The activity occurred prior to the start of boarding for Flight 3195 scheduled from IAH to Dallas Forth Worth (DFW.) A replacement crew member was not immediately available, and therefore, the flight was canceled. Impacted customers were offered the option of a full refund, credit, or re-accommodation on the next available Frontier flight later that evening.”

Additionally, Frontier gave the plane passengers a $100 flight voucher. To compensate for the inconvenience, people who needed them also got overnight accommodations.

So, what did the pilot do to cause the police to arrest him before the plane passengers boarded? Apparently, he had an outstanding warrant that stemmed from allegations of assault and family violence. The arrest happened without resistance from the pilot. The police station released the man on bond.
