The 2023 Toyota RAV4 is one of the most popular SUVs on the market. This popularity is true across all SUV classifications, but the 2023 Hyundai Tucson is a solid pick over the legendary Toyota SUV. This is true for a few reasons, but better interior space is perhaps the biggest. Both vehicles are spectacular, but buyers should look closer at this Hyundai SUV over the new RAV4 model.
There is more space in the Hyundai Tucson 2023
The Hyundai Tucson 2023 wins against the Toyota RAV4 mainly because of its interior space. Of course, the vehicle is larger, so it makes sense that the cabin offers more room for passengers to stretch out. In addition to being more comfortable, Car and Driver found that the Hyundai SUV allows for 22 bags of luggage in the back when the seats are folded. Sure, other vehicles in its class may fit more, but they don’t have the same modern style as the Hyundai Tucson.
On the technology front, the Hyundai Tucson has a standard 8.8-inch touchscreen, the same system as the Hyundai Tucson 2022. The system is integrated into the dashboard and has a bigger option. The Toyota RAV4 option is smaller, coming in at 8 inches for the screen. Overall, the inside of the 2023 Hyundai Tucson has much to offer the market and makes for an exciting vehicle.
The Hyundai Tucson 2023 proves the worth of hybrids
The base model 2023 Hyundai Tucson uses an internal combustion engine, but the best option is the hybrid. The hybrid and plug-in versions of the Hyundai SUV use a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The regular hybrid version has a maximum output of 226 horsepower, whereas the plug-in is 261 horsepower. The standard engine has a max of 187 hp.
The 2023 RAV4 hybrid version has a maximum output of 219, while the standard model gets a max of 203 hp from a 2.5-liter engine. Both SUVs offer similar acceleration times, with the hybrid versions of both being faster. The two SUVs also offer similar fuel economy and range.
It comes at a slightly lower price
One of the great things about the Hyundai Tucson 2023 being similar to the 2023 RAV4 is that it’s a little cheaper. The difference isn’t drastic, but paying less for an excellent SUV is never a bad thing. The new Tucson starts at $28,235, and the RAV4 costs $29,310. Of course, these prices are all before any extras are added. For comparison, the Hyundai Tucson 2022 was only slightly less expensive than the new one.
Both vehicles have much to appreciate. Though the Tucson doesn’t have as strong a reputation as the RAV4, it’s a solid vehicle. This is especially true for people who plan to use their new SUV for general driving. It also doesn’t hurt that the Tucson is one of Hyundai’s most beloved vehicles.
