The Toyota RAV4 is one of the most celebrated SUVs on the market. Luckily, most used Toyota RAV4 models are in pretty great shape due to the vehicle’s reliability. However, as with any vehicle, some model years are better than others. One of the best for this Toyota SUV is the 2014 RAV4.

Here’s why the 2014 edition is one of the best-used Toyota RAV4 models.

The 2014 RAV4 delivers solid performance

The Toyota RAV4 is so well regarded because it delivers excellent performance. Luckily, the 2014 model is also solid, as it’s decently fast and powerful for a vehicle its size. According to Edmunds, the 2014 RAV4 is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-four with a maximum output of 176 horsepower. This all-wheel drive Toyota SUV uses a six-speed shiftable automatic and has a torque of 172 lb-ft.

Regarding speed, the RAV4 isn’t the fastest SUV on the market, but it’s more than fast enough for how most people use it. The 2014 RAV4 accelerates from 0 to 60 miles per hour between 7.7 and 8.9 seconds. Of course, the exact speed depends on the trim in question. It may not beat every competitor in speed, but people love this model RAV4, so it’s more than acceptable.

This model has a fairly modern interior

Unfortunately, the 2014 Toyota RAV4 doesn’t have the same advanced interior as the versions that arrived only a few years later. However, it’s still pretty modern and has enough technology to be an excellent used SUV. The inside of this Toyota SUV has a refined look that uses high-quality materials. It seats up to five, and although used buyers can’t configure their 2014 RAV4, some options come with things like heated seats.

Regarding technology, it includes a 6.1-inch touchscreen with an integrated backup camera. In addition, the vehicle comes standard with a six-speaker setup. Since it’s a slightly older SUV, it also includes a CD player with the AM/FM radio. Drivers and passengers can also connect mobile devices using the built-in USB port. Overall, the inside of this used Toyota RAV4 isn’t the most advanced, but it was great for 2014 and still holds up by today’s standards.

The RAV4 price is pretty reasonable

The 2014 RAV4 is still such a great used option because of its price tag. Of course, it isn’t as cheap as some used SUVs because Toyota vehicles hold their value, but it’s still a fair price. The 2014 Toyota RAV4 price is usually around $12,000. Of course, some cost less, but many of them cost more, depending on the trim in question.

The 2014 RAV4 provides many of the attributes a used SUV buyer looks for. It has stable and exciting performance, a decently modern interior, and comes at a price tag that is both affordable and helps instill trust in the vehicle’s quality. There are many options on the used vehicle market, and this one is held in high esteem.
