Police officers conduct traffic stops on a daily basis. In most cases, the vehicles they pursue do the right thing and adhere to the traffic stop. However, this isn’t always the case, and things can quickly become dangerous. This recently happened when a man driving a red Lexus sedan led several police squad cars on a high-speed chase in Los Angeles.

This Lexus sedan didn’t stop for a traffic stop

According to KTLA, one man driving a red Lexus refused a traffic stop in Los Angeles on the night of September 24th. It has now been uncovered that the man was wanted for a felony, which is one of the reasons he decided not to stop for law enforcement officers. Sadly, things could have ended badly, not only for the suspect but also for everyone involved.

According to reports, after refusing the traffic stop, the red Lexus reached speeds upwards of 120 miles per hour. The man weaved through traffic and narrowly avoided several car accidents as he tried to escape the police officers. The high-speed chase began in Los Angeles County and went all the way to Orange County. However, it didn’t stop there, and he led the police back to the LA County area.

The police used several means to get the driver to adhere to the traffic stop, including spike strips and an attempted PIT maneuver. The driver even kept going after losing a tire. The high-speed chase ended when he sadly hit a pedestrian and finally crashed into a fence. The man also hit one car toward the end of the chase. He is said to have fought with police before being taken into custody.
