Shooting suspect leads police on a chase through several neighborhoods in a Hyundai as he drives over sidewalks
Leading police officers on a high-speed chase is one of the worst things a driver can do. Often, this happens when people are trying to escape a traffic stop. This happened recently in Philadelphia when a man in a Hyundai refused to stop as police pursued him. Now, he’s behind bars after having put several people on the road in danger.
This man wanted to escape a traffic stop only to end up in jail
Trying to evade a traffic stop is a fruitless endeavor. Naturally, most people are never going to get away from the police. This means people who attempt to do so only add more charges. According to ABC 6, police officers were trying to catch a shooting suspect on the evening of October 4th in Philadelphia.
The shooting suspect was driving a gray Hyundai when the police officers tried to conduct a traffic stop in order to apprehend him. Sadly, he led them through several neighborhoods, including parts of the Temple University campus. This chase also saw the driver making illegal turns on several occasions. Naturally, this also means he was against oncoming traffic, which could have easily caused a car wreck.
Things became worse as the police tried to continue to conduct the traffic stop. The shooting suspect was seen driving down sidewalks and endangering the lives of pedestrians. In the end, he jumped out of the gray Hyundai right before it crashed at a busy intersection. Of course, he tried to run, but the police officers were able to arrest and take him into custody.
